I have listened to the show for a while now and have always been impressed with how graciously he handles those who call for advice. Dave’s books are more of the same kind hearted but to the point advice. The Total Money Makeover lays out his plan for eliminating debt and how to put his financial principles into practice. All of the steps that Dave talks about on the radio every day are included in the book. This book is filled with personal stories from people who have turned their financial lives around. These stories can be very inspiring examples. You start thinking that if they can do it, you can too. The book also contains chapters on debt and money myths. These chapters debunk what many have been taught about debt and money for their entire lives. As with the rest of the book Dave Ramsey pulls no punches here and tells it like it is. If you are looking for a book that will motivate you, this is the one. I feel that motivation is one of his talents. There is something about his personality that just makes you want to do it and he carries that over well in this book. As is stated at the bottom of every page; “If you will live like no one else, later you can live like no one else”.
